Day 4

Today (19/11/2010) is my fourth day of induction. Start from today, we were divided into our own department. For front office department we will report to Mr Azizi(supervisor) and Miss Azlinita as our Head of Department. Today’s activity is free and easy. Nothing much we do today. Miss Azlinita explained the standard operating procedures (SOP) of our job. In this department we have 7 receptionists and 3 bellmen. They are Umie, Aini, Azie, Za, Daniel, Hazry, Hadrian, Iman and Park Lee(Faszly).

Referring Miss Azlinita, our front office will use IFCA system. This is a hotel management system. However for six month of our operation, we will use manual system. Since then, Miss Azlinita asked me to find out any important document needed in front office department. Since I have an experience as a receptionist before, I have some of the copy of those documents.

Day 3

Salam


Today(18/11/2010) is my third day of induction. We have a lot of joy today and be young and childish again. Our management organized games. The first game is choir competition. We got the last place for this game. Then followed by dancing competition. Again we are the looser. Hahaha. Third, pop quiz. The question is about the hotel facilities and management. Yeahh...we won this game and the last game is treasure hunt. We got the last place for this game. Ermmm...i'm so happy today.


I got new friends, getting much closer with them. I've been talk to Shahrul(general cleaner), he is very smart, clear with his vision, and I think he will get what his aim to be. Then I make friends with Faizal. Coincidently, I talk to him on one of the game that we gone through. Yeah. his quite chubby and very happy go lucky. I like be with him. He is a recreational attendant. Besides that, there are other friend i knew through this induction. I'll tell later okay..

Day 2

Today(16/11/2010) is my second day of induction. Nothing much happen. Just a field trip to entire hotel. try to know types of room, facilities provided, and so forth. This is a new hotel and still have unfinished work. My upcoming work area also still under construction.

That's would be my working space. No more standing, and I'll have my own chair. I like this hotel

  

Look at that staging. A lot of things need to settle before we(receptionist) may have our working space.

I like this part. So nice. Simple but creative.

Day 1

Today(15/11/2010) I’m starting my career as a hotelier.  You want to know my position? Urmmm…just a small position..RECEPTIONIST.. yes..i’m a receptionist. You wanna see my proof. Okay…let’s see this…

Look I’m not lying okay. I’m really a receptionist. Actually I’m not apply for this position. Based on my degree, I have applied as an assistant front office supervisor. But then Mr Azman(interviewer) told me that I did not have sufficient experience, so, he suggest me to work as a receptionist first. If I’m work well he will promote me to other better position.

Since today is my first day, I’m sleep early and wake up early in the morning. I’m not supposed to be late for my first day. Again, when i'm at a new place it is really difficult for me to get along with others. Yeah..Mr Shy Guy...But.. i'm still trying to get fit with others. None of them are my friends. So, i have to find somebody to be my friend. I hope, day to day i will be able to be friend with them.

For this week, we(new staff) will go for a training or induction. A bit introduction about the management of the hotel, hotel facilities, room rates, and so forth. On the evening session we do Poco-Poco and and sing a song. What song? Huhuhu...Felda song anthem..SEMAI BAKTI..we have to memorize this song. Owh.. so difficult to memorize it. You wanna hear that.

So. How was it. Nice song, is it. Opss.Where is the song. I upload it later on okay. My internet quite slow tonight. Bye..that is the end of our first day of working(training actually)

WELCOME BACK

Hohoho...i'm back...the last time I've been here is early of this year..and right now almost end of the year..so pity..actually I've nothing to write in and i did not know what topic i'm suppose to write. Concept of the blog also still unclear...


Ermmm... I think I want to make this blog as my diary...good idea...maybe a good idea actually...
